The Rimed Chronicle Of The Cid: El Cantar de Rodrigo
The manuscript is well, if carelessly written, and fairly well preserved. There are n°t in it more than a scant half - dozen places where there is any real palaeographical diñiculty. On the philological side, however, it would be difficult to imagine any thing worse. The text is full of lacunae and of interpolations glosses, copyists' mistakes and additions, corrections to the point of being in places almost unintelligible.
